Reiki is a relaxation-focused practice that uses light touch (or no touch) to support the body’s natural ability to manage stress. Originating in Japan, it is commonly used as a complementary wellness approach to promote calmness and overall well-being. During a session, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above specific areas of the body while you remain fully clothed.
The goal is to create a quiet, low-stimulation environment that encourages the nervous system to shift into a more relaxed state. Many clients report feeling warmth or deep relaxation. Reiki is non-invasive and not a substitute for medical care but may support stress reduction and overall comfort. What the Research Says Research suggests Reiki may help reduce stress and perceived pain, though more large-scale studies are needed. It is used in some hospital and integrative care settings to support relaxation.
Reiki is practiced in both clinical and wellness settings worldwide as part of an integrative approach to care. -
Crystal healing is a relaxation-focused practice that uses carefully selected stones to support a calm, structured wellness experience. Crystals are placed on or around the body while you remain fully clothed in a quiet environment. Their physical properties—such as weight and temperature—help support sensory awareness and relaxation. Clients often describe feeling grounded and calm. This practice is non-invasive and complements overall wellness. What the Research Says Research is limited, but studies on relaxation and mindfulness show benefits for stress reduction. Crystal healing is widely used in wellness environments as part of a restorative experience.

Tuning fork therapy uses calibrated metal forks to deliver gentle sound and vibration. When activated, forks produce a tone and vibration applied near or on the body. This supports relaxation through sensory input. Clients report subtle, calming effects such as reduced tension and improved focus. What the Research Says Research is limited, but sound and vibration therapies show potential for stress reduction. Tuning fork therapy is used in wellness settings as a non-invasive relaxation method.

Color therapy uses controlled exposure to light and color to support relaxation. Different colors are introduced in a calm environment to influence mood and atmosphere. Clients often feel soothed and mentally clear. What the Research Says Research suggests light and color can affect mood and stress levels. Color therapy is commonly used in spa and wellness environments.
